Polka dot rag question (zack26)
I’ve
always been confused as to which song is “Polka Dot Rag” on
The What of Whom. There’s the song with the lyrics “You
are the moon, you are the stars” and then there’s one
after it that starts “She said that didn’t really love me, not
like she loved him”
The CD-R has both songs
on a single track labelled “Polka Dot Rag” and the brief
piano track before it as “Excuse Me”. But on the RU
website the same “You are the moon” lyrics were submitted
for both Excuse Me and Polka Dot Rag.lyrics.
I can’t think of
any examples of any instumental piano track that were actually
titled. I’ve always figured that “Excuse Me” was “You
are the moon” and Polka Dot Rag was “She said that she
didn’t really love me” and that the CDR was mis-tracked, but
I’ve never known for sure. Anyone know for sure?
Which
one did you want the tab for?
Polka dot rag tab (K1r0ft)
Hello
– this is what im hearing on the beginning for polka dot
rag:
Bass:
A………D – A#…… / A………D –
A#…… F..E..A,E,C,A,C,E
Treble:
A
/A
C
/C
E
/E
D,C A, A, A, A

This is the beginning. The treble part
goes up one octave along the way somewhere in there. I really like
this song too – been kind of looking at it. I’m kind of a
beginner at the piano hope you can kind of get where im going with
it. This takes you up to the chorus. Please forgive the punctuation
marks as a sad attempt at measurements and articulations.
